“At present, our country needs women’s idealism and determination, perhaps more in politics than anywhere else.” – Shirley Chisholm, politician, educator, author, and first black woman elected to the United States Congress

March is Women’s History Month: a time to celebrate women who’ve created change throughout the world.

And this year, in particular, is special. We know you feel it. We feel it too.

From the Women’s March to #MeToo and everything in between, we are in the midst of an exciting and momentous time. Women (and men) are coming together in droves to speak out against inequality and discrimination and not just for women, but for everyone.

This March, we’ll feature Changemakers whose lives and work have impacted our world for the better. Many of these women are “Hidden Changemakers”–women who persisted to create change despite opposing organizational and societal forces. Inspired by the film, Hidden Figures, a story about grit, dedication, and community over individual glory, Hidden Changemakers is about celebrating the unique power of women to lead and lift up one another and, in the process, move the world forward.

We invite you to follow us on Instagram and learn about these amazing women throughout Women’s History Month. We’re kicking off with the amazing Shirley Chisholm. Let us know what you think – and help us bring awareness to Hidden Changemakers by liking and sharing these posts throughout the month.

Keep on making change!
