Kali is a social entrepreneur who is a passionate advocate for equity and education transformation. After spending four years as Education Director for Portland Mayor Sam Adams, Kali cofounded KairosPDX, an organization dedicated to closing opportunity and achievement gaps for marginalized children. In addition to revolutionizing education in Portland, Kali has worked to develop community initiatives in South Africa to support education and economic development of women. Recognized as Portland’s 40 under 40, Kali resides in North Portland with her husband and two young children. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Boston College and earned a Master’s Degree in Education Policy from Harvard University.
